Christmas In New Zealand: How To Do It Right

Whether you’re looking for thrilling adventures or a chance to just put your feet up and relax, you are definitely spoilt for choice in New Zealand. Whether you’re spending time in the North or South Island, you won’t run out of things to do and places to go.

The best way to travel to these destinations of course, is to jump in a campervan from Cheapa Campa from either our Auckland or Christchurch branches and celebrate Christmas of 2016 in absolute comfort and style. If you’re still a bit undecided where to go and what to do in New Zealand this Christmas, we’ve come up with a number of places you can drive your camper hire to.

When You’re In The North Island

After picking up your Cheapa campervan from our Auckland branch, Drive for 5.3 kilometres on SH 16 to the Museum Of Transport And Technology for the annual Christmas Lights celebration, happening from 15 to 24 December this year, between 8 pm to 11 pm.

Christmas in Auckland also means that many locals are away on holiday and that you pretty much have the city to yourself (and about a hundred or so other visitors, LOL!). So explore the city centre and take photos of the remarkable architecture minus the huge holiday crowds.
